June 24th, 2022: The day the US Supreme Court overruled the Roe V. Wade decision, stripping American women of federal protection of their reproductive rights. Where were you that day? How did you feel? What does access mean to you?
At Duke & Duck, we struggled to answer those questions. To help process this terrible decision and provide a platform for artists to speak out, we curated the Our Bodies, Our Choice, Our Voice event.
We invited local artists and animators to answer, “What does access mean to you?” Our animated rally cry was answered with powerful visual responses. With our involvement and voice in the DC community, we aim to raise awareness to help get these rights back.
